Investor Relations

Investor Relations provides capital markets, investors, shareholders and other interested parties with relevant information in accordance with applicable legislation, NASDAQ Stockholm’s Rules and Regulations, the Swedish Code of Corporate Governance, and Balco’s communications policy.

Balco presents the company and its financial performance in conjunction with the communication of quarterly interim reports. In addition, significant events which occur in the company are published through the distribution of press releases. Balco also holds regular meetings with shareholders, analysts and potential investors and participates at seminars of interest.

An investment in Balco is based on a number of important strengths:

1) A clear and attractive market position

Balco is the market leader today in the Nordic region on the attractive and niche balcony market. The company offers customer-adapted balcony solutions under its own trademark to tenant-owner associations, private landlords, the public housing sector and construction companies, primarily in Sweden, Norway and Denmark which are the company’s primary markets, but also in Germany, Finland, the UK and the Netherlands.

2) A niche company on a fragmented and rapidly growing market

The value of the northern European balcony market in which Balco is present was valued approximately SEK 36 billion in 2021 and the market for balcony renovations in Balcos main markets Sweden, Norway and Denmark is expected to grow by approximately 5% annually during the period 2022 – 2024. The growth is being driven by continued strong developments on Balco’s primary markets.

3) Balco is a growth company

Since 1996, Balco has grown from a company with approximately 25 employees and sales of MSEK 42 to a company employing 467 people at the end of 2021 and reporting sales 1,120 MSEK.

4) A proven business model with exclusive customer values

Balco’s balcony solutions are made-to-measure units consisting of several different components and materials. Each order is unique and tailor-made based on the customer’s specific needs and requirements.

Balco’s favorable position on the market is largely the result of the successful method the company uses, the “Balco method”, in combination with the company’s expertise and unique sales process. A renovation according to the Balco method entails that the existing open balcony is replaced with a new glazed balcony system which is both larger and has a longer lifecycle than the existing balcony. Balco’s renovation method is an attractive and sustainable alternative to traditional concrete renovation with advantages such as lower monthly costs, enhanced standard of living, lower energy use and increased property value.

5) Attractive financial profile

Balco has an attractive financial profile and a history of strong growth in orders and net sales, high profitability and strong cash flow generation. Balco has historically reported high levels of order intake which have contributed to increasing net sales at a pace faster than the growth of the underlying markets. Alongside the growth in sales, the company has also increased its profitability. Balco has a low capital expenditure need, which in part is the key to the strong cash generation in the business. In addition to good profitability and low capex, Balco’s business model and low working capital requirements have contributed to a strong cash flow and cash flow conversion.
