Corporate Social Responsibility
We want to create a safe, secure and healthy workplace
The people in our organisation are the most important resource we have. All the value we create comes from the skills, commitment, responsibility and desire of our employees to constantly develop themselves and the Group as a whole. That is why it is vital that our employees have the very best conditions to do their jobs in a stimulating, safe and secure way. This is important from an employer’s perspective, to attract and retain the right skills, now and in the future.
As part of our 2030 Agenda framework, we have chosen to link our health and safety work in general to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth. We have linked specific business objectives to this. At Group level, we have chosen to measure total sickness absence, where the target is to be below 3.5% of total planned working time on an annual basis. Staff turnover is another key focal area that we measure and monitor across the Group. Some staff turnover is healthy for the Group, as it paves the way for new energy and skills to enter the company. The target here is a maximum of 8%. In addition, we measure the number of accidents, naturally aiming for zero. At the same time, we are aware that the risk of accidents is ever-present in a manufacturing and contracting business, but by striving towards our zero vision, we are constantly working towards a safer working environment.
